Sour Cherry Extra Jam

The visciola belongs to the cherry family and is a distinctive speciality from Le Marche, widely appreciated, loved and sought after. This creamy, fresh preserve, with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste, is made exclusively from fresh Italian visciole, ripened naturally on the tree.

Prepared using only seasonal fruit and cane sugar, it contains no frozen ingredients, colourings, preservatives, thickeners or added pectin.

We recommend enjoying it on freshly toasted bread or crispbread for a rich breakfast or a delicious and wholesome snack. It is also particularly well suited to pastry-making, perfect for filling cakes and biscuits. Equally excellent for enhancing pancakes and waffles, adding an international twist to breakfast.

Ideal when paired with all types of cheese. Try it as well in bresaola rolls with rocket and ricotta – a quick and flavourful recipe.
